Compositor and technical director Ken Ziegler shares with TeachingSpot his views on the VFX industry and offers some excellent advice to those who are looking to break into the business.

To be a succesful visual effects artist it truly pays to study the work of those who came before you. Sure, you may have seen many of the recent big budget VFX spectaculars, but maybe you’ve missed out on some of the great effects films of the past. Check out our list and then see them for yourself!

It’s not a contest.  There are no prizes.  There is no reward.  You aren’t even competing for immunity.
