Again With the Disappearing Act!

Another three months go by and nuthin’!  Believe me, it is not how I planned things. As you probably know, you can be swept up by life’s highs and shaken by its lows.  My family has been going through both highs and lows recently.  The updates are still coming. Keep poking around this site and see what you find.  New things are being added here and there.  Start looking.

O Professor, Where Art Thou?

He sets up a great website and then disappears with no updates for nearly four months. What gives?  My apologies to all my fellow artists. Sometimes in the battle between ambitions and reality the former is no match for the latter.  The good news is that I’ve been quite successful in many of my endeavors. The bad news is that this site has had to take a back seat to those endeavors. But rest assured that TeachingSpot is not going to disappear and it will be updated very shortly so stay tuned.

Top Ten Reasons to Stay Up Late

I can’t give you any details, but if you are a Star Wars fan you might want to tune in to The Late Show with David Letterman on Monday May 16th and watch long enough to see the Top Ten List. What does this have to do me?  Well, those of you who know me have probably already figured it out.  The rest of you will just have to watch and guess.

Welcome to TeachingSpot version 2.0!

It has been a long time coming and now it is finally here. Thank you all for your patience. Life has been rather busy during the past seven months, filled with many more projects than I had anticipated.  I certainly can’t complain about being so blessed in my professional and personal endeavors, however all this good fortune has taken away time from what was initially supposed to be a simple update to this site. I hope, though, that as you look around the new site you’ll agree that it was worth the wait.  Not all the pages and sections are active yet, however I didn’t want to delay the re-launch of the site any more.  The rest of the site will come online shortly.

For those of you who frequented the original TeachingSpot you will be glad to see that all your favorite sections are still here only better. If you are new to TeachingSpot, let me extend to you a hearty virtual handshake and invite you to make yourself at home. This site originated as an extension of the university classes I taught. It was maintained as a resource for my VFX, animation, and 3D modeling students.  I soon realized that there was a need out there on the vast world wide web for a site that taught about the business side of being a CG artist. And so TeachingSpot has grown to become such a site.  Of course it is a work in progress, as all sites are, therefore I welcome and openly solicit your feedback and input.

Again, welcome and I hope you’ll drop by often.
